2004 saw the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Athens. The
ceremony was watched by billions of people world wide and Brilliant
Stages were proud to have been commissioned by Jack Morton Worldwide
to produce some of the stunning show pieces. These included the DJ
stage used by the Dutch DJ Tiesto during the 90 minute athletes parade.
We also fabricated the 10 meter diameter pivoting Journey Rings shown
above. These concentric rings were used to display the names of the
countries visited by the Olympic flame on its journey back to Athens.
The motorised Cube featured just prior to the athletes parade was
another of the pieces fabricated by Brilliant Stages & was symbolically
'walked' on by an acrobat suspended above.
