Genesis 'Turn It On Again' tour - 2007

The Genesis project for all at Brilliant was again the realisation of a Mark Fisher design, the first sketches based on a conch shell. We combined all the skills and expertise gained from our previous stadium shows, such as U2, Rolling Stones and Robbie Williams. We worked hand in glove with the production team to design and build a set that had to withstand the rigours of a back to back European tour.
The construction included the curved low resolution video wall, lighting pods that travelled up and down the seven 30 metre tall lighting towers and the performing stage that incorporated an underworld for the tour technicians.

The Low Res curved upstage wall is constructed from custom built aluminium panels, designed specifically to load quickly and safely out of their transit carts and slide into vertical tracks. Each panel is two meters tall and links to the panel below as they are raised into their guides. All of the top panels follow the contour of the ‘Low Res Brow’ which houses custom profile steel frames. These frames have three uses: to act as the main lifting beam for the column, to provide mountings for moving lights with a mechanism for easy servicing and to support the ‘Brow’ aluminium fascia.

“The performing stage is designed and built to meet the bands requirements but also incorporates an underworld for the bands technicians. Each section is built on castors so that it can be assembled, with all of its equipment, away from the main build and then pushed into place when ready.
