Design concepts are received from the client / designer. (Artwork shown is the 1997 Rolling Stones Bridges to Babylon design by MarkFisher).

These can be presented in many ways from a verbal description to a sketch on the back of a box to fully rendered artwork. They can be outlined in CAD format, presented as a 3 dimensional scale model. or as in some instances a full presentation video.
A Brilliant Stages representative or team would attend necessary meetings and submit quotations and design recommendations. Once the project & price have been agreed we would appoint a project manager (or several depending on the size of the project).
The project manager would liaise with the client and our CAD department to produce detailed drawings. The client would be kept updated with drawings. All structural calculations would be approved and monitored via a comprehensive approval form tracking system. Structural reports will be supplied as necessary. Brilliant Stages have 3 full time CAD design draughtmen. All our CAD drawings are modeled in 3D. Some of our Project managers are also qualified 3D CAD persons & within the Tomcat group of companies we have access to more CAD operators.
Once the drawings are approved they are passed to the workshop. In our workshop we employ some of the best craftsmen in our field, from skilled carpenters to qualified coded welders. The majority of our staff have been with Brilliant Stages for a large part of the 20 years we have been building stage sets. Their pride in their work, knowledge and loyalty are key factors in our production of high quality products. Constantly throughout its fabrication the project is monitored by the workshop & project managers.

When we first started building stage sets we realised that some of the most important issues for our customers were easy of assembly, reliability, weight & a great looking product. Over the years in consultation with the crews that tour our sets we have developed our own aluminum extrusions & fittings enabling us to build some of the best bespoke products on the market. During the fabrication process all our products are assembled in the workshop. Often at this stage the touring crew will come in & become involved in this final set up to ensure they have a good working knowledge of the set.
Once the set has left our workshop it doesn't end there. We offer support throughout the tour. That support is worldwide. With our sister company's within the Tomcat Global group we can send staff to assist wherever you are in the world. On some of our projects we have supplied a site workshop equipped with full cutting fitting & welding services to support all the tour vendors.
What can we do? - Almost anything. Fabrication in most materials, soft goods, artwork, hydraulics, pneumatics, control systems & if we don't do it in house, we have the privilege of subcontracting to people we know are the best in their field. We've project managed & worked with these people on numerous occasions. We are the best at what we do- don't take our word for it. Check out our gallery, look at what we've done, ask around, check our pedigree. WE ARE BRILLIANT STAGES.
We have in place a full workshop & site Health & Safety Policy. Our full terms & conditions are available on request..
